The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Warriors Party
Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the city.
Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group knows exactly where to go next after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.
The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, wants retribution.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could enable the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the clan.
This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.
Fans can look forward to finding out which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
